Position Title: Carpentry Trainer

Duty Station: Kyangwali Refugee Settlement
Contract: 4 Months (Renewable)

Job Description

The Carpentry Trainer will teach woodworking, furniture making, measuring, cutting, assembling, finishing, and machine safety. The role requires strong technical skills, patience, and commitment to community empowerment.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach carpentry theory and practical skills.
• Train learners to use hand tools and carpentry machines safely.
• Guide production of chairs, tables, beds, shelves, and other furniture.
• Maintain workshop safety and inventory.
• Assess learners and track progress.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Carpentry, Woodwork Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years practical experience.
• Ability to teach in multiple community languages.
